Tortun: A Poetry of A Girl Who Fell to Earth

Short Film

A young woman, living in the postmodern scenery of the crowded and busy city of Bangkok, is convinced that she is being haunted and taken care of by the ghost of her late grandmother.

'Tortun: A Poetry of A Girl Who Fell to Earth' is an art film set in the alienated city of Bangkok, depicting isolation and coming to terms with solitude as a result of not fitting in and holding on to a childhood regret that results in self-antagonism. Alienation plays an important key to the story, and the film is told like poetry-- in the most unconventional way possible. It is not a film to be understood, but to empathize with.

Tortun is officially selected to be screened at NewFilmmakers (New York City) in Anthology Film Archives in Spring 2020.
